The worship ministries of First Baptist involve many men, women and children striving to use their God given gifts to bring Christ the glory due His Name. They love the Lord and share that testimony by singing, playing instruments and acting.
Serving in the music ministry is a wonderful way to:
- Glorify God
- Grow in Christ and inspire others to do the same
- Discover abilities and hone skills
- Develop friendships
- Participate in God’s work at First Baptist Athens

CELEBRATION CHOIR
Our Celebration Choir is the primary worship-leading choir. The choir sings most every Sunday morning in both the 8:30 and 11:00am services and plays a key role in special events throughout the year. It is the entry/starting point for most adults desiring to serve in the music ministry. All soloists and smaller vocal groups are derived from the Celebration Choir.
- Everyone is welcome, 18 years old and up.
- No prior experience and no audition required.
- A commitment to faithful participation in rehearsal, weekend services, and special events is expected.
Rehearsal: Wednesdays 6:30-8:00
Childcare is provided

STUDENT WORSHIP CHOIR
Who: 7th-12th Grade
When: Wednesdays 6:00
Where: Choir Room
CELEBRATION KIDS
Check in for children four years of age through sixth grade will be outside the chapel.
The purpose of each of these choirs and the heart of each director and the army of other teachers and volunteers is to teach the importance of using our voices and lives to worship our Savior, Jesus Christ. We strive to make sure each child has a good time and is comfortable during our time with them so they can’t wait for Wednesday night.
