The Men’s Ministry Strategy of FBC Athens is The Man Church. The Man Church is a field tested resource for challenging and equipping men to be who God created them to be. Disciple men, change everything. The Man Church Discipleship Strategy

The Man Church Discipleship Strategy is designed to launch men into a recurring discipleship loop. This is accomplished by utilizing large group gatherings as a funnel for small group Bible study. Our 2024 large group gatherings will be our Men’s Conference on February 2 at Clements Baptist Church and Gridiron, June 14-15 in Huntsville. 

Small Group Bible Study

This is accomplished on Thursday nights from 7:00-8:00. This is where our men will have a never ending discipleship experience. We are presently using Impact. 2024 topics will include: Self Control, Steadfastness, Godliness, Brotherly Affection, Love, and Fruitfulness.  Contact John Crocker at jcrocker@fbcathens.org for schedule and location. Man Church Events in 2024 include: Winter Fellowship (January 25); Mens Conference at Clements Baptist Church (February 2) ; Skeet Shoot and Bar B Que at Glaze Farms (April 6);  Reg Britt Memorial Golf Tournament May 4; Gridiron in Huntsville (June 14-15); Whitewater Rafting on the Ocoee River in Tennessee (July 20) ; Trash Pandas Baseball Game (August 11); Dove Awards in Nashville (October 1)  and Fishing Rodeo/Campout/on the Guntersville Lake in Langston (October 24-25).
