Each year, First Baptist Church, Athens, tries to make Christmas a little better for families, especially children, who have a recognized need. In the past, this was called “Operation White Christmas.” We have changed the name to “Blessing Tree”. School counselors from local elementary schools have identified families that need assistance in making Christmas special for their children. General information on these families is provided in the table below.
We are asking church families, Sunday School classes, or other FBC organizations to “adopt” one of the families below and purchase, wrap, and deliver Christmas presents to the family.
To participate, select a family below and email the “Family ID” you would like to Greg Glaze (gglaze@fbcathens.org) to ensure the family is still available. When you receive confirmation that the family is available, you will receive additional information, including the family address and the names of the children. Families that have already been adopted are greyed out in the list.
